The Developmental-Behavioral fellowship at the University of Iowa is designed to provide structure with flexibility. The structure provided in selected readings, core lectures, and clinical rotations is designed to prepare fellows for the Developmental-Behavioral Pediatric sub-board examination at the completion of their fellowship. Electives and research time is provided so that each fellow can pursue her or his own interests and passions.
Fellows are encouraged to participate in all educational activities in the Department of Pediatrics. Fellows routinely attend Pediatric Grand Rounds, morning report, Genetics case conference, Child Neurology case conference, journal club, the child psychiatry lecture series, and seminars provided by the College of Public Health.
