Pulmonology Fellowship Program:
Department of Pediatrics

Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship Foundation

Respiratory diseases of childhood remain a major cause for hospitalization and morbidity in the United States and around the world. The number of board-certified pediatric pulmonologists, trained to treat such diseases as bronchiolitis, cystic fibrosis, and asthma remains inadequate.

Our goal is to develop the next generation of pediatric pulmonologists by training new specialist physicians, providing state-of-the-art medical care, and advancing that care through rigorous basis, translational and clinical investigation. To accomplish our goal, we hope to enhance our Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship by developing an endowment that would provide permanent funding for the program.

A gift to the endowment could be named in the donor's honor. A donor may provide a gift to fund an individual 3-year fellowship; it would be named in honor of the donor. The current cost for training a pediatric pulmonologist fellow for three years is $135,000. These and other goals of the division provide a unique opportunity for community supporters to partner with us in accomplishing our training missions.
