Healthy Eating Tips

Tips to help you and your family eat better today:
  • Parents are responsible for purchasing nutritious foods for the family and preparing family meals.

  • Teens are responsible for helping with meal planning, shopping, food preparation and clean-up.

  • Everyone is responsible for whether or not they eat and how much they eat.

  • Learn to recognize your body cues for hunger, satiety, and fullness.

  • Plan to eat 3 meals a day and include snacks so you will not be starving before the next meal, yet you are hungry before the next meal comes around.

  • Stop eating at least two hours before bedtime - you'll sleep better and wake up hungry. No foods are off-limits!

  • Be a role model for better eating
