Predicting Cardiovascular Risk with Antipsychotics

Criteria for Participation
This research could lead to a better understanding of predictors of cardiovascular risk associated with antipsychotic medications. Participation will involve a single visit during which blood pressure, weight, cholesterol, triglycerides, blood sugars, vitamin levels, and genetic profile will be assessed.

Inclusion Criteria:

Aged 18-50 years and taking:

  • Risperidone (Risperdal™)
  • Olanzapine (Zyprexa™)
  • Quetiapine (Seroquel™)

for the past 1-2 years.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Untreated thyroid disease
  • Cancer
  • Pregnancy
  • Drug or alcohol abuse in the past year

There are no charges for any of the study procedures. Compensation is available for your time. Participation is voluntary.
