Current Residents: PGY III

	Dewi Abramoff received her medical degree from The University of Amsterdam in 1994 and did her Psychiatry Residency in the Netherlands. She then worked in Amsterdam doing inpatient and outpatient adult psychiatry for an inner city population. She came to Iowa City in 2003 with her husband. 	Michael Burgard received his B.S. in Biology from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2002. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine in 2006. After completion of residency, Dr. Burgard is interested in pursuing a research fellowship. His professional interests include personality development and disorders. michael-burgard@uiowa.edu
	Joanne Byars received her B.A. in Physics from the University of Chicago in 2001. She graduated from the University of Florida College of Medicine in 2006. She has been involved in research studying nicotine and other substance abuse. Her professional interests include neuropsychiatry and clinical neuroscience. joanne-byars@uiowa.edu
	Yelena Chistyakova graduated from the Ukrainian Medical and Dental Academy in 1986. She received her M.D. from Ross University in Dominica in 2005. Her professional interests include geriatrics and psychotherapy. yelena-chistyakova@uiowa.edu
	Hristina Koleva received her degree from Medical University of Sofia, Bulgaria in 2003. She worked in an Emergency Psychiatry Department in Sofia, Bulgaria until starting her psychiatry residency here in 2006. 	Andrew Lancia received his B.A. in Psychology from Creighton University and his M.S.[R] in Anatomy from St. Louis University. He graduated from Creighton University School of Medicine in 2006. 	Elaine Leynes received a B.S. in Biology from the University of Santo Tomas College of Science in Manila, Philippines in 1990 and graduated from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in Manila in 1994. 	William Warnes graduated from the University of Kansas with a B.A. in Theater and Film. He attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center, graduating in June 2002. Will joined the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Psychiatry Residency Program after completing a Family Medicine residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and practicing for two years in rural Nebraska. william-warnes@uiowa.edu
	David Wilson received his B.S. in Pre-Physical Therapy from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah in 1998. He graduated from Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center in 2006. His research experience includes geriatrics, neurotransmitters, and substance abuse.
