Application Information
Applicants must use the Electronic Resident Application Service (ERAS) to apply to the University of Iowa Department of Psychiatry residency program. Through ERAS, applicants should submit:
- Common application form (CAF)
- Medical school transcript
- USMLE transcripts (or COMLEX scores); please note that you must achieve 80 or above on your first attempt at Steps 1 and 2 of the USMLE
- Dean's letter of recommendation
- Three letters of recommendation from clinical faculty with whom you have worked
- Personal statement
- Medical license or ECFMG certificate, if applicable
- Photo (optional)
