Applicants to the University if Iowa Child and Adolescent Psychiatry residency program have typically completed three years of a general adult psychiatry residency training program. To apply, residents must submit the following information.

• University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Residency-Fellowship Application form
• Medical school transcript
• USMLE transcript, Steps 1, 2, and 3, if applicable
• ECFMG certificate, if applicable
• Curriculum Vita
• Personal statement
• Photo
• Four letters of reference
• One from the office of the dean of the medical school you graduated from (i.e.: a Dean’s Letter)
• One from your previous training director, including a list of completed rotations
• One each from two individuals best qualified to report on your qualifications
