Eric Epping received his B.S. in Biochemistry and Economics at the University of Iowa in 1994. He graduated from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine combined M.D.-Ph.D. Medical Scientist Training Program in 2003, with his graduate degree in Physiology and Biophysics. He completed his Psychiatry residency training at the University of Iowa in 2007 and is currently pursuing a clinical neurobiology fellowship through the Mental Health Clinical Research Center. His professional and research interests include schizophrenia and psychiatric genetics.

Jessica Wood is from central Wisconsin and received her B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1992. In 1993 she joined the University of Iowa Medical Scientist Training Program, obtaining her Ph.D. in genetics in 2001 and M.D. in 2002. She completed psychiatry residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in February 2007, then started a 2 year postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neurobiology in the UI Mental Health Clinical Research Center investigating the morphological and genetic bases of gender differences in social cognition and in schizophrenia.
