Current Residents: Internal Medicine/Psychiatry


Betsy McGee Betsy McGee received her M.D. and M.P.H. from the University of Illinois College of Medicine-Rockford. She also holds an M.S. in clinical psychology from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science/Chicago Medical School. Her professional interests include health policy development. Her extensive work experience includes co-facilitator for ADHD management groups, Behavioral Therapist for an autistic child, medical assistant at a pediatric office, medical student tutor and a clinical externship in geriatrics.

Gloria E. Ortiz-González Gloria E. Ortiz-González graduated from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, San Juan, PR. In her native Puerto Rico, Dr. Ortiz-González volunteered at clinics for those without medical insurance and for patients with an addiction to intravenous drugs.

Arwa Abu Rizik Arwa Abu Rizik received her medical degree from Jordan University of Science and Technology in 2004. She completed a transitional year in internal medicine in Jordan before starting a psychiatry residency here in 2006. She joined the Internal Medicine/Psychiatry combined program in 2007.

Daniel Bosis Daniel Bosis received his M.D. from the University of Michigan Medical School. He also holds a J.D. degree from the UCLA School of Law. After medical school, Dr. Bosis started his residency in the Family Medicine/Psychiatry program at the University of California-Davis. After his first year, Dr. Bosis realized his career goals were in the care and management of acutely ill adult patients and he transferred into the Medicine/Psychiatry program at the University of Iowa.

Ravneet Dhaliwal
Ravneet Dhaliwal received his M.D. and completed a Rotary Internship from the Government Medical College and Punjabi University, Patiala in India. He worked as a house physician in Neurology and Cardio-Thoracic surgery before completing a 3 year Residency training in Dermatology and Venereology (1997-2000) through the Government Medical College, Patiala in India. He worked as Medical Officer (2000-2006) in various capacities in clinical and administrative settings both in rural and urban areas in the state of Punjab, India. He has authored 15 publications and presentations in Dermatology. He later started his residency in the combined Internal Medicine/Psychiatry program in 2006. His professional interests include the role of chronic cardiac diseases in cognitive and mood disorders and working in geriatric settings.

Kyoung Bin Im Kyoung Bin Im received his M.D. from Seoul National University in 1999. His professional interests include psychosomatic medicine, drug overdose, sleep medicine, and psychoneuroendocrinology.
