Radiation Therapy Program


The radiation therapist program prepares student radiation therapists to assume duties as a member of the health care team of radiation therapist, radiation oncologist, nurse, and physicist. This health care team implements provision of total quality care for each patient undergoing a prescribed course of treatment using ionizing radiation.

Program goals:

  • The program will graduate students that meet the needs of the community
  • Graduates will perform the responsibilities of a radiation therapist in a courteous and competent manner
  • Graduates will demonstrate effective communication skills and participate effectively in a team with other medical professionals
  • Graduates will demonstrate critical thinking skills and the ability to adapt to their working environment
  • Graduates will value the importance of life time learning and professional development
