Dongxu Wang, PhD

Dr. Wang joined the Department of Radiation Oncology in August 2011 as an assistant professor of medical physics. Previously he has worked at L. C. Ferguson Cancer Center (Freeport, IL) and Beloit Memorial Hospital (Beloit, WI) as a temporary physicist for routine and occasional physics coverage. He is a registered Therapeutic Radiation Physicist in the state of Illinois.

Dr. Wang received his PhD degree in Medical Physics from University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research was on proton computed tomography and imaging-guided proton therapy. His current work is focused on the research and implementation of the spot scanning proton therapy system.
