Fallopian Tube Reanastamosis

University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics now offers a minimally invasive approach, enhanced with robotic surgical technology, to fallopian tube reanastamosis. This new technology enhances a surgeons ability to perform the fine suturing required to reattach the two ends of the very small fallopian tube. The more accurate, and delicate the suturing can be, the less scar tissue will form at the reattachment site. This procedure is performed to reverse a previous tubal ligation.

Not everyone is a candidate for this procedure, but the robotic approach allows for a quick recovery from the surgery as it can be done with very small incisions.
