Heller Myotomies

Heller cardiomyotomy

The esophagus can also be obstructed, making swallowing difficult. This can result from cardiospasm, tightening of the tissue at the top of the stomach where the esophagus enters the stomach. This procedure is called a Heller cardiomyotomy.
