The UI Obesity Surgery staff is committed to improving the health of morbidly obese patients by achieving lasting weight-loss that:

To accomplish this, our surgeons work with a multi-specialty, full-time staff dedicated to providing the best pre-operative to post-surgery care. Our team works with every patient from first appointment with the surgeon to follow-up care in the hospital.

The UI Obesity Surgery Program is unique in its approach to the care of the morbidly obese patient. True to our capabilities as an academic medical center, our multi-disciplinary “team” approach enables us to meet the needs of our patients on many different levels, improving patient satisfaction and patient care.
