Welcome, Dr. James A. Brown
The Department of Urology is pleased to announce the arrival of Dr. James Brown, Associate Professor. Dr. Brown's clinical focus is urologic oncology, with a special interest in minimally invasive urologic oncology surgery.
Dr. Brown earned his undergraduate degree in engineering science from Colorado State University and went on to earn his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in 1991. He then completed his urology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester in 1997. Dr. Brown also served four years in the U.S. Air Force and was most recently head of urologic oncology at the Medical College of Georgia.
Dr. Brown is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Urological Association, the Society of Urologic Oncology, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, the Society for Basic Urologic Research, the Society of Government Service Urologists, the Society of University Urologists, and the American Association of Clinical Urologists.
