Outpatient Services

The UI Urology Clinic is a full-service outpatient surgical clinic soon to undergo expansion from eight- to- twelve examination rooms, four cystoscopy treatment rooms, a fluoro-urodynamic suite, a fluoro-cysto-retrograde room, ultrasound rooms, and a complete outpatient surgical area with an endoscopic surgical suite and a state-of-the-art lithotripsy suite.

The Department of Urology has 19,000 outpatient visits per year and is operational five days per week. All patients are assigned to a faculty member, however, residents are active participants in each clinic. Residents have graded responsibility in the clinic related to their level of training.

The outpatient facility is well-equipped and staffed. Support services are readily available on an outpatient basis with the surrounding hospital and include medical consultations with the Department of Radiology (ultrasound, CT, MRI and PET scanning), Social Services, and many other areas within UI Hospitals and Clinics.
