Digitalis and cinchona were herbal remedies used in the treatment of heart
disease. Specimens of each plant are displayed. A package of dried foxglove
herb from around 1900, and intravenous quinine in glass ampoules illustrate
two of the many forms that pharmaceuticals have taken in this century.
