Adult Psychiatric Partial Hospital
Unit Description: An average of 16 patients a day in two treatment tracks. One track is for eating disorder patients, the other for general psychiatry patients.
Patient Populations: Adult and adolescent psychiatric patients.
Unit Information: Psychiatric Partial Hospital is an alternative to inpatient care. Intensive psychiatric services are provided in an outpatient setting. Some people enter Partial Hospital from the community. For others it is a transition from an inpatient stay. RNs are members of a full interdisciplinary team including social work, psychology, occupational therapy, activity therapy, psychiatry, and dietary.
RNs coordinate patient care, complete initial patient assessments, DO insurance pre-certification and re-certification and coordinate Eating Disorder referrals for both in-patient and out-patient services.
