Patient Populations: Cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and vascular surgery patients with an average daily census of 27. Telemetry monitoring, temporary cardiac pacing, arterial line blood pressure monitoring, vasoactive and anticoagulant medication infusions, bedside cardioversion.

Unit Information: 4 Roy Carver offers a 6-week, 1:1 preceptor-stype orientation. ACLS certification. Staff does self-scheduling with 8 & 12 hour shifts with every 3rd weekend. 4 Roy Carver is a dynamic unit offering a full range of intermediate level care to our customers.

In addition to the nursing staff, our interdisciplinary team includes unit-based social workers, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, dietitians, and physicians. Multidisciplinary rounds daily.
