Center for Digestive Diseases


Location: 4 John Colloton Pavilion

Clinic description: 16 examination rooms and 2 minor procedure rooms in the Center for Digestive Diseases Clinic. 10 procedure rooms in the Center for Digestive Diseases Procedure unit.

Patient population: Clinic: Approximately 100 patients seen daily who have medical or surgical anomalies or diseases of the GI tract. Common patient groups include: inflammatory bowel diseases, colon cancer, hepatitis, Celiac's disease. Hepatitis Procedure unit: Performs approximately 30 procedures including colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, GI motility studies, ERCP, and liver biopsy.

Services/treatments offered: State of the art treatment and research protocols for a variety of GI diseases.

Number of procedures daily (procedure unit): 30-40

Number of patients seen daily (clinic): 100

Hours of operation (clinic): 0730-1700, Monday through Friday

Awards and distinctions: Ranks 25th in US News & World Report.
