2004 Nursing Recognition Day
September 14-15, 2004


Nursing Excellence in Practice, Research, Quality Management, and Education

This year's Nursing Recognition Day event is being held September 14-15, 2004 in the 8th floor Solarium.

The purpose of this event is to recognize UI Hospitals and Clinics staff who go above and beyond their job expectations in practice, quality management, patient education, staff education, and research and learn about how they are making improvements in these areas. Projects include:

  • Educational programs for patients
  • Improvements in patient outcomes through quality improvement projects
  • Evidence-based practice projects to improve care
  • New innovations and/or practice changes
  • Leading teams in institutional performance improvements root cause analysis
  • Staff education projects and programs
  • Community service projects and activities

Posters submitted by nursing staff will be displayed during this two-day event to showcase the wonderful projects staff are doing throughout the hospital in relation to Nursing Excellence in Practice, Research, Quality Management, and Education. Awards will be given to the top three posters.
