The Department of Nursing at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics is nationally and internationally known for the use of research and other best evidence to improve patient outcomes. The department has been recognized through receipt of the 1997 Research Utilization Award from Sigma Theta Tau.
University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics nursing staff have presented numerous papers, published widely, acquired grant funding, and received evidence-based parctice awards for their work in this area.
