The Department of Nursing Services and Patient Care at UI Hospitals and Clinics is nationally and internationally known for the use of research and other best evidence to improve patient outcomes. Nurses at UI Hospitals and Clinics are leaders in integrity and disseminating evidence-based practices into patient care, improving healthcare outcomes. The department has been recognized through receipt of the 1997 Research Utilization Award from Sigma Theta Tau.
