Core Indicators


The ongoing monitoring of core indicators is based on identified patient outcomes in compliance with established patient standards and includes the following measures:
  • Patient Satisfaction (Inpatient/ambulatory for both adult and pediatric patients using a survey methodology)
  • Risk (Adverse Events, Morbidity and Mortality, Patient Falls, Medication Errors, Nosocomial Pressure Ulcers, DVTs, PE, Procedure Related Complications)
  • Infection Control (Nosocomial Infection Rates)
  • Clinical Resource Management (Length of Stay, Cost)
  • Condition specific outcomes (Pain Management)
  • Other (Restraint Use, Seclusion, Blood/Blood Product Administration)
