UI Weight Management has developed an informatics platform
that is expected to facilitate trials of new anti-obesity drugs, behavioral
modification, exercise, nutrition and complementary therapy interventions. This developing database will also serve as a valuable resource for a broad
array of clinical studies in obesity.
The program has developed a database
of clinicians (including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, nutritionists,
psychologists, exercise physiologists) and basic science and clinical
researchers who have interests in aspects of obesity, in order to promote
the goals of
clinical management, research and educational efforts related to obesity.
