Are you interested in serving as a member of UI Children's Hospital Family Advisory Council?
The following are the qualities we seek in FAC members:
- Strong interpersonal skills - ability to communicate clearly and interact with family members and hospital staff whose backgrounds, experiences, and styles may be very different from your own
- Ability to share both positive and negative insight in a constructive way
- Enthusiasm about the hospital's mission of excellence in patient care, education, and research
A two-year commitment to serve is desired; and attendance at ~ 6 meetings/year is expected. To assist with transportation and child care expenses, FAC members may receive a small honorarium and free parking for each meeting attended. New FAC members are required to participate in an orientation session prior to the first meeting in the fall.
