Youth Advisory Council
How to Join


Are you interested in serving as a member of UI Children's Hospital Youth Advisory Council?

We seek the following are the qualities we seek in YAC members:

  1. Current or former UI Children’s pediatric patient (inpatient or clinic) 12 – 18 years of age
  2. Ability to serve two years and to attend 4 - 5 meetings per year
  3. Willingness to speak openly with peers and hospital staff about how to improve the hospital experience for kids

The Youth Advisory Council meets four to five times per year on Sunday afternoons. Lunch and parking are provided and members may receive a modest honorarium for each meeting attended.
