Children's Story Hour
The Librarian or a visiting storyteller presents story hour every Wednesday
morning at 10:30. Stickers and bookmarks are a bonus at the end of these
events. Children of all ages and their families are welcome.
Story Book Characters
On some occasions, the Patients' Library sponsors visiting storybook
characters who visit the clinic and in-patient areas. The Patients' Library
is grateful to Barnes and Noble for providing most of these visits for the
children.
Most recently, Clifford, the big red dog, and Raggedy Ann have come to
visit.
Free Book Cart
A book cart stocked with free books has been provided by
Children's Miracle Network and the Patients' Library.
Volunteers visit pediatric inpatients twice weekly and help
them select a free book.
Items for children include the following:
- Books
- Bookmarks and stickers
- Book-and-tape sets
- Decks of cards
- Games
- Movies and VCRs
- Tape players and radios
