The Patients' Library gratefully accepts gifts of any kind. Some past gifts to the Patients' Library include memorials and trusts. Click UI Foundation to make contributions to the Patients' Library:

Janet Panko Memorial
The Janet Panko Memorial Gift was established by the family and friends of patient Janet Panko. The fund provides TV/VCR carts for inpatient units to allow patients to view movies at the bedside. This generous memorial gift will ensure all patients who would like an opportunity to view a video from the Patients' Library can do so. This is one activity that Janet was able to enjoy when she was a patient at UI Hospitals and Clinics. It is fitting that this memorial gift will continue to enable other patients to do so too.

Lucy Witter Memorial Trust
The Lucy Witter Memorial Trust was established in 1969 to benefit the library of the University of Iowa Children's Hospital. Every Year, the Patients' Library acquires books and educational materials that are extra special including fabulous pop-up books, open-the-flap books, and educational CD ROMs. The Lucy Witter Memorial Trust was established by the family of Lucy Witter Chamberlain who was a pioneer primary teacher in the public schools of the village of Wyoming, Iowa. The Patients' Library and the University of Iowa Children's Hospital are very fortunate to have support from this trust fund.
