University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics offers local and regional artists the opportunity to display their artwork to a diverse audience through the Temporary Exhibits Program. Artwork on display at four locations is viewed and enjoyed by patients, visitors, and staff.
If you are interested in exhibiting artwork through the Temporary Exhibits Program, please complete the rotating exhibition application and return it to the Project Art office at uihc-projectart@uiowa.edu. Your submission should include .jpg image files of your work. For further information about exhibits or any questions concerning application, contact the Visual Arts Coordinator at 319-353-6417.
Past exhibits have featured a wide variety of media, techniques, and styles of both two-dimensional and three-dimensional artwork, including metalworking, jewelry, painting, ceramics, textiles, prints, and photography.
Temporary exhibition galleries are located on the John Colloton Pavilion, Level 8, and at the Fountain entrance. Temporary exhibitions are displayed for three months. Project Art retains a 20 percent commission on all sales through the Temporary Exhibits program. Proceeds are used to underwrite future art acquisitions and sponsor traveling exhibitions.
