University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics provides a setting for local and regional artists to display their artwork to a diverse audience through the Temporary Exhibits Program.  Artwork on display at four exhibition sites is viewed and enjoyed by patients, visitors and staff. If you are interested in exhibiting artwork through the Temporary Exhibits Program, please complete the application below and return it to the Project Art office.  Please follow the application procedures outlined on the form.

Past exhibits have featured a wide variety of media, techniques and styles of both two-dimensional and three-dimensional artwork, including Metalworking, Jewelry, Painting, Ceramics, Textiles, Prints and Photography.

Temporary Exhibits are held in four locations at UI Hospitals and Clinics:

Two-Dimensional Artwork

• Patient and Visitor Activities Center- Gallery Space I
• Patient and Visitor Activities Center- Gallery Space II
• Patient and Visitor Activities Center- Gallery Space III

Three-Dimensional Artwork

• Main Lobby Gallery Space

Exhibitions are displayed for three months.  Project Art retains a twenty percent commission on all sales through the Temporary Exhibits program; proceeds are used to underwrite art acquisitions and sponsor traveling exhibitions.

If you are interested in applying for a temporary exhibit at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, please complete the Temporary Exhibit Application and submit with color 35mm slide photographs or a CD-ROM with digital image files to uihc-projectart@uiowa.edu or the address below:
