To apply for the music therapy internship position at UI Hospitals and Clinics, please send the following items to the address below. All of the application items must be received by the deadline in order to be considered.
- Current resume
- Official transcripts of all official training
- Two letters of reference, one must be from a clinical supervisor
- Recording demonstrating musical skills. This non-returnable recording should show applicant's functional music skills, including keyboard, guitar, and vocal skills. Please demonstrate the ability to accompany self with both adult and children's songs in a variety of keys. The applicant may also submit a short clip of a performance on a major instrument not listed above. The recording may be in a VHS or DVD format. The recording must NOT include actual clients.

There are two internship positions available each year. The internship begins the first week of January and is completed at the end of June. The application deadline is July 1 of the preceding year. Applications are reviewed and interviews are scheduled within one month of the July 1 deadline.
