Lymphedema Therapy

Lymphedema is an accumulation of lymph fluid in the arms, legs or trunk. It typically occurs after cancer or cancer treatments, such as the surgical removal of lymph nodes and/or radiation.

Lymphedema can cause discomfort, interfere with wound healing, and cause infections. It can be a long-term problem, but can be managed.

Our staff uses evidence-based treatments tailored to meet the needs of each patient. Components of the program include:

  • Manual lymph drainage
  • Compression
    • Bandaging
    • Garments
    • Pneumatic pumps
  • Exercise
  • Education
    • Risks
    • Prevention
    • Management
    • Skin and nail care
