The Department of Social Service provides services to patients and families throughout UI Hospitals and Clinics inpatient areas, outpatient clinics, and outreach sites.
Social work services
During 1999-00, 157,788 social work services were provided to 36,539 patients and families. This represents a 49% increase in the number of patients served in the last five years.
