Wal-Mart/SAM’S Club, Target and Hy-Vee pharmacies throughout the United Sates offer $4 generic programs for select generic prescriptions available for up to a 30-day supply at commonly prescribed dosages. Anyone is eligible to use these programs – persons insured or uninsured. Complete lists of all the medications offered on these programs are available at your local Wal-Mart/SAM’S Club, Target and Hy-Vee pharmacies or via their individual websites.

Kmart pharmacies throughout the United States offer a 90 Day Generic Program for certain generic prescription medications. Anyone is eligible to use this program – persons insured or uninsured. Rx Outreach is a patient assistance program that provides select generic medications to treat ongoing health problems such as blood pressure, diabetes and acid reflux. These medications are sent directly to your home from a mail order pharmacy. Rx Outreach provides a three-month supply for $20, $30 or $40 per medication. Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP)

Medicaid for Employed People with Disabilities (MEPD)
MEPD is for persons who are disabled and working. You must be under 65 years of age and receiving earned income from employment or self-employment. Your monthly net income must be less than 250% of the federal poverty level for your family size ($2,041 per month for a family of one). The MEPD recipient receives full Medicaid benefits, which may require payment for a small monthly premium. Medicaid pays for most medications. However, a small co-payment may be required. Individuals should apply for this program at their local Department of Human Services office.
