Introductory Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
Addresses the fundamentals of pastoral formation, pastoral competence and pastoral reflection through one or more program units. Learning occurs in the context of pastoral/spiritual care to patients and families and though a variety of group seminars and written analytical report of ones ministry under the supervision of a certified ACPE Supervisor.
University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics conducts Level I – Introductory CPE offering offer part time extended units (approximately 30 weeks in length) and full time summer units of 11 weeks.
