Financial Issues and Credit

Salary
An annual salary of $28,215 (effective July 1, 2008) is available to Clinical Pastoral Eeducation (CPE) Residents. Excellent benefits are included.

Tuition
The tuition for CPE is $400 for each of the four units in the residency. Tuition is due and payable the first week of each unit. There is a tuition surcharge of $600 for CPE residents/interns who do their clinical placement at an offsite facility.

Credit
Students enrolled in academic education through Seminary may earn credit for their CPE training, which may fulfill requirements for ordination, seminary degrees, and continuing education. This may be arranged through the individual educational institution. Credit may also be applied toward professional certification with such organizations as Association of Professional Chaplains and Association for Clinical Pastoral Education.
