Admission Requirements

Prerequisites for admission to UI Hospitals and Clinics Introductory Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) include:

• Theological educational, or training
• A baccalaureate degree (Equivalencies will be considered based on vocational/life experience and education.)
• Endorsement or mandate to ministry by a recognized religious body
• A demonstrated call to ministry

Students are accepted upon the basis of their commitment to ministry, demonstrated interest and ability in personal and professional growth, and upon their ability to serve as spiritual care providers in a large medical complex.
