The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics
The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, is the State of Iowa’s primary tertiary, teaching and research hospitals. In addition to serving the citizens of Iowa, it serves patients from adjacent states, and from a number of foreign countries. UI Hospitals & Clinics has over 800 beds and a system of 200 outpatient clinics. Several of our areas of service have received national recognition as areas of excellence. As a teaching hospital, UI Hospitals & Clinics is the primary practice site of the Colleges of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing and several schools of the allied health professions. Not only does the UI Hospitals & Clinics provide excellence in patient care, it also provides an excellent and stimulating environment in which to learn.
