Christine Miller, director, Strategic Relations

Miller received her bachelor’s degree in general science and certificate in physical therapy from the University of Iowa and received her MBA from the University of Denver. She has worked at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics since 2003. Her work experience includes clinical physical therapy care and management in hospital and payor organizations.

Ashly Brown, project assistant, Strategic Relations

Brown graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies and a business minor from the University of Iowa in 2006.

Tom Mentz, manager, Revenue Integrity

Mentz earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Iowa. Prior to joining the Revenue Integrity team in March 2005, he worked for the UI Department of Internal Medicine for 10 years.

D.R. Miller, project assistant, Revenue Integrity

Miller earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from The University of Iowa in 1981. He has worked at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics since 1993 and was a supervisor in the UI Hospitals and Clinics Business Office before coming to Strategic Relations.

Deb Hedinger, project assistant, Revenue Integrity 

Hedinger has been at UI Hospitals and Clinics since March 1987. She joined Revenue Integrity in November 2004.

Heather Werth, compliance analyst, Revenue Integrity

Heather has been at UI Hospitals and Clinics since April 2000 and joined the Revenue Integrity team in December 2004. She earned her medical administrative assistant degree in December 1999.   

Dianne Wasson, RN, MSN, case manager, UI Health Plans

Wasson completed her RN in 1980 and her master’s in nursing science from the University of Dubuque. She has been at UI Hospitals and Clinics since 1999. She holds a certification in case management.

Carla Clark, service representative, UI Health Plans

Clark has worked at UI Hospitals and Clinics since 1980. Before joining the Health Plans Office in 2001, she worked in the Pharmacy Department, Cardiology Clinic and the Internal Medicine Clinic in the Family Care Center. 

Corrine Hamers, manager, Corporate and Physician Relations

Hamers received her bachelor’s degree in finance and a public relations minor from the University of Northern Iowa. Prior to joining the Strategic Relations Department, she worked for the Finance and Accounting Department for eight years. 

Anna Kisting, program associate, Corporate and Physician Relations and Executive Health

Kisting graduated from the University of Iowa in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in art and art history. She joined UI Hospitals and Clinics in 2004 and joined the Corporate Relations Team in 2005. Anna is also the coordinator for the Executive Health Program.

Renee Schechinger, physician liaison, Corporate and Physician Relations

Schechinger graduated from the University of Iowa in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in English and communication studies. She joined the office of physician relations in June of 2006.

Kim Hagie, program associate, Corporate and Physician Relations

Hagie received her bachelor’s degree in marketing and master’s degree in public, private, and commercial recreation (emphasis in health promotion and cardiac rehabilitation) from the University of Iowa. Her health care experience includes working as an exercise physiologist and coordinator of an outpatient cardiac rehabilitation programs.

Megan Threlkeld, coordinator, Payor Relations

Threlked received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from The University of Iowa. She has worked in the area of managed care contracting and payor relations for more than 10 years. Previously, she worked in administrative and data management in the Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant Program.

Melissa Twait, representative, Payor Relations

Twait graduated from The University of Iowa in with a bachelor's degree in geography. Prior to joining Payor Relations, she worked in the Joint Office of Patient Financial Services and the Revenue Integrity unit of Strategic Relations.
