Resmiye Oral, MD, also provides consultation services to the Departments of Human Services, county attorney's offices, law enforcement and defense attorneys from Eastern Iowa, Western Illinois and Southern Wisconsin.

The majority of these consultations involve allegations that ultimately require legal action through the court system. Thus Dr. Oral is often subpoenaed to provide expert opinion in court.

Extramural consultations also include over-the-phone consultations with community physicians, Department of Human Services workers, law enforcement officials and county attorneys.

Community agencies are welcomed to call for a multi-disciplinary meeting involving Child Protection Program staff to discuss the diagnosis and management of any victim of child abuse and neglect.
