Nikolas Ball had just turned four when he was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a common form of cancer in children. The cancer had reached stage 4, meaning it had spread throughout his body. Thanks to his treatment at UI Children’s Hospital, where he has received five rounds of chemotherapy, two stem cell transplants, two major surgeries, and radiation therapy, Nikolas is in remission and beating the odds on this dangerous disease.
