Meet Kid Captain Kristin Klemesrud

Kristin Klemesrud came to UI Children’s Hospital at age 11 to receive treatment for a rare bacteria that was a consequence of her cystic fibrosis, and later for surgery to treat scoliosis. Living with these conditions has motivated Kristin to become a volunteer and spokesperson in her hometown, where she has raised more than $150,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
