Physician, Physician Assistant, and Nurse Practitioner Employment Opportunities
The University of Iowa Community Medical Services, Inc. (UICMS) invites you to consider joining a network of community practices in Iowa. We have openings as described below for physicians and mid-level providers who want to practice and live in Iowa. Participating in one of our practices gives physicians and mid-level providers opportunities to advance their medical skills and contribute to the community.
Through our network, you have all the benefits of a community practice as well as access to the educational resources required to maintain and enhance your clinical skills. Management and support services provided by UI Community Medical Services, Inc. allows our physicians to focus on providing quality, cost-efficient health care.
Through affiliations with the educational and service missions of The University of Iowa, you have a unique opportunity to use your patient care expertise to help us educate future health care professionals. In turn, our staff members consult and work with you to manage the practice. Not all communities are alike, and thus, not all community medical practices are alike. We encourage our practices to retain their individual identity and character.
Input from community physicians is paramount in UI Community Medical Services, Inc. governance. Seven of the nine board members are physicians. A medical policy group comprised entirely of physicians reinforces our commitment to strong physician governance and leadership.

Physician Opportunities
Family Practice Physician
Must have M.D. /D.O., Completion of Residency in Family Medicine. Must be eligible for Iowa state medical license. Location: Sigourney, Toledo and Centerville.
Oncology Hematology Physician
Must have M.D. /D.O., Completion of Residency in Internal Medicaine, Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology & BE/BC in Oncology and Hematology. Must be eligible for Iowa state medical license. Location: Ottumwa, IA.
Mid-Level Provider Opportunities
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Excellent part-time opportunities for experienced family Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants to practice at the UI Family Care clinics in North Liberty and Iowa City, Iowa. North Liberty and Iowa City opportunities are working at our UI QuickCare clinics. Flexible part time hours available from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday –Friday and Saturday - Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A Bachelor of Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and a nurse practitioner/physician assistant license in the State of Iowa. Over one year experience required for this position. Excellent salary and benefit package.
Excellent full-time opportunity for experienced family Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to practice at the UI Family Care Clinic - Lone Tree, Iowa. A Bachelor of Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and a nurse practitioner/physician assistant license in the State of Iowa required. Over one year experience required for this position. Excellent salary and benefit package.
Excellent full-time opportunity for experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioners to practice at our UI Family Care - Wapello clinic Wapello, Iowa. Practice has strong community support. X-ray and laboratory services available at the clinic. A Bachelor of Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and a nurse practitioner assistant license in the State of Iowa. Over one year experience required for this position.
