Clinic Information
The Pediatric Clinic at the UI Family Care Center offers a team approach to caring for your child. This comprehensive approach involves the entire family, a concept known as family-centered care. We have one goal in mind: helping your child feel better. We also focus on preventive care ranging from well-baby exams to immunizations to routine checkups to working with parents to help their children learn healthy habits for a lifetime.
We are also part of University of Iowa Children’s Hospital , ranked by Child magazine as number 20 on their list of Best Children's Hospitals for 2007. Our pediatricians have immediate access to the most advanced laboratory testing and imaging in the region, as well as same-day consultations with the most pediatric specialists in the state.
Pediatricians in the Pediatric Clinic have devoted their careers to not only serving the health care needs of children, but also to the future of pediatric medicine through the education of medical students and pediatric resident physicians. Our pediatricians provide and have continuous access to continuing medical education and new knowledge.
