The UI Health Plans staff is available to help you with your questions and concerns regarding UIChoice, CHIP II, UIGRADCare, and SHIP. In addition, the staff can help you with claim questions, as well as act as a liaison between you, your providers, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
Office Hours
The UI Health Plans Office is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The office is located at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, C135 General Hospital.
Telephone
The UI Health Plans telephone number is 319-356-8442 or 800-356-8442. After business hours, your call is directed to either the UI Health Plans office voice mail, where a representative will return your call the next business day; or your call can be directed to UI Health Access if medical questions or support is needed.
UI Health Access offers telephone triage care and access to nurses with special training, who can provide health advice over the telephone. You can also call UI Health Access directly at 800-777-8442 or 319-384-8442.

If you are uncomfortable with your appointment(s) as scheduled, and have discussed your concern with the clinic team, you may call the UI Health Plans Office to speak to a Case Manager about your condition and concerns. The Health Plans Case Manager will work with you and the providers involved to assist in resolving the issue.
