Out-of-Area Emergency Transportation Services: Benefits include reimbursement when a University employee becomes ill away from his/her normal work location and needs emergency transportation home. Precertification of medical evacuation services is required. Call 800-558-4409 for precertification.

Medical evacuation expenses to the nearest appropriate medical facility are limited to a lifetime maximum of $10,000 per person.

Those enrolled in the Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance program will also have coverage under the Zurich Travel Assistance program that may be utilized whenever you are out of the Iowa City area.
