UI HealthWorks can help you manage your worker's compensation cases. We conduct disability examinations and ratings at all of our clinic sites.

To be more responsive to employers, University of Iowa Health Care created the Work-Related Health Care Services office at UI Hospitals and Clinics to be the point of contact for case managers, employers, and other entities referring worker's compensation cases.

The service fosters a cooperative and informed relationship between UI Health Care and case managers, employers, insurance carriers and others involved in the treatment and rehabilitation of employees with occupational injuries or illnesses by:

• Facilitating scheduling for patients who need occupational health care for work-related injuries or illnesses
• Assuring that inquiries from employers and carriers about the treatment and work status of patients are handled expediently
• Cooperating with external case managers and others as needed to coordinate care and facilitate referrals
• Supervising, facilitating, or providing case management and coordination of services for patients at UI Hospitals and Clinics
• Consulting with employers and physicians regarding return to work and restricted duty options and other back to work issues
