Go Red Girl Scout Patch Program

To help girls learn to make healthier choices and empower the women they love to do the same, the Girl Scouts, American Heart Association, and UI Heart and Vascular Center have teamed up to offer a Go Red Girl Scout patch.

Some of the activities required to earn the patch are offered below. For complete Go Red Patch requirements visit the Girl Scout Go Red patch web page.

For All Levels

Contact Volunteer Services at UI Hospitals and Clinics to find out how you can help local heart patients. Possibilities include craft projects, making hand-made cards or letters, book and movie drives, and collecting dress up clothes for young heart patients at UI Children’s Hospital.

Girl Scouts age 14 or older may be able to visit patients. Go to Volunteer Services and visit the "Special Projects" page under "Becoming a Volunteer." You can also contact Volunteer Services by e-mail. If you live a long way from Iowa City, consider volunteering through your local hospital.
