Cardiac Nuclear Imaging/Positron Emission Tomography is designed to diagnose coronary artery disease, assess myocardial viability in patients being considered for revascularization (percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty - PTCA or coronary artery bypass surgery - CABG), and to assess ventricular function.
